The Story
Half a century. That number sat with me for a while.
I'm turning 50. My friends, bless them, gave me absolutely no say in what to call it. Joechella it is.
This is going to be intimate. The people in this room are the people who've mattered across the last fifty years. Close friends, people I love and admire, people who've shown up in ways I don't take lightly.
It's somewhere between a microfestival and genuine connection time. There'll be workshops, lightning talks, rituals, and celebration. Something that actually fits the life I've been building toward. Five days that feel worth fifty years.
The Experience
Five days. Five decades. One unforgettable week, with the big party on Friday.
One day for each decade of Joe's life. We travel from the very beginning to right now, one ten-year chapter at a time.

The teenage years. Skateboarding, go-karts, and the music that raised us. Loud, a little reckless, all heart.

THE BIG ONE
20-30
A mini festival in the spirit of Bali Bloom and Camp David. All of Joe's Bali friends join for a full-on day and night: DJs, dancing, and performances. This is the blowout.

The middle chapter. A sunrise hot air balloon, a cooking class, and the big swings that changed everything.

Fifty years in. Story time over dinner, a decade-by-decade slideshow, and a charity moment with PKP. A warm close with the people who matter.
The Venue
Bali Beach Glamping, Tabanan
Fifty luxury tents on the west coast of Bali, set between black sand beach and rice fields with the Indian Ocean at the doorstep. Twenty-five minutes north of Canggu, far enough to feel like a world apart. Up to 120 guests, all sleeping in air-conditioned glamping tents with proper ensuite bathrooms and hotel-quality bedding. There is an infinity pool, a spa, an on-site restaurant, and a wide open lawn big enough for whatever we decide to do on it.

The Cause
Fifty years of abundance.
One way I give it back.
For many years I've been supporting PKP, Pusat Kegiatan Perempuan, a women's community centre just outside Ubud. My friend Ibu Sari built it after living the story herself. After her divorce she was separated from her daughter for twelve years. In Bali, a woman who leaves a marriage often loses her home, her standing, sometimes her children. Ibu Sari turned that pain into a place where the next woman doesn't have to lose everything.
Today PKP is a safe haven and a school in one, teaching cooking, sewing, English, and real job skills. Those skills turn survival into independence. Her philosophy is simple: when you want to build women, you need to build the whole family.
Two birthdays ago we raised $10,000 for PKP in a single celebration. My next goal is bigger. I want to help Ibu Sari build a permanent space where women in Bali can escape abusive situations with their children, a home that can't be taken away from them.
Ibu Sari will be at the birthday with us. You'll get to meet the woman behind all of this in person.
